The DL-44 Blaster DIY kit is an awesome build! With a little light sanding, some glue and paint a bit of weathering. It's definitely the blaster your looking for. And Jeff's customer service is the best in the galaxy. If you need any help or have any questions he's right there to help answer any and all questions. The force is strong with this one.

I've had my DH-17 for about a year and i love it! The build quality it really good and has held up well. I've only had to things brake and that was entirely my fault. Those to things are the trigger and the selector, these only broke because I'm a bit rough with it. I use this blaster a lot and am really happy with it.
I was looking for a Rebel DH-17 cosplay prop to fit in the holster I bought last year on Etsy. This is great since it looks like the one used in the movies and I'll be able to take it to conventions next year. The tutorial I found was painting a Nerf DH-17 which hasn't been available for a long time.
The blaster has remarkable good detail on the blemish/weather look but the barrel hole at the front is a little bit bent other than that it is awesome

Great blaster! Able to hit womp rats from over 50 meters away with it. Plenty of stopping power for up to large to mid-sized game. Utilizes standard BlasTech power packs, makes recharging easy since I have BlasTech power pack chargers in every speeder. Looking to get the sniper rifle add-ons here shortly to increase its range. Haven’t encountered any Tusken Raiders since acquiring this blaster, hopefully won’t need it but better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
